Pacifica Archery opened in Pacifcia, CA in 1998 and has been family owned and operated since the beginning. Our founder Joe has been an avid archer since his early teens. He used to take the Muni bus from his house at Potrero district to Golden Gate Park to shoot his fiberglass bow. Joe decided to open Pacifica Archery after being frustrated at not having a quality archery store in the local vicinity.
Many of their good friends were instrumental in opening their store; Ken and Debbie Brown, Bernie Muscha, Ed Hamack, and King Lamadora to name a few. After seven years in Pacifica, they decided they would like to expand their ability to serve the archery community and moved to their present Daly City location in December 2005.
Beth Snell didn't know anything about archery when Joe convinced her to start our business. She went to Mathews and PSE archery schools to learn, but she found that experiencing the day-to-day operations was her best teacher. She enjoyed both competitive shooting and hunting.
As she ages, she has slowed down on both, but still loves teaching and interacting with customers. She doesn't think she’ll ever retire, wanting to be around as long as possible.
Nathan Tamayo has been involved with his family’s business since his youth. From fletching arrows to teaching new archers, he’s done it all. He has learned everything he could about archery from his father, and as much as possible about business management from his mother. As Pacifica Archery’s on-site manager, he continues striving to bring out the best in Pacifica Archery’s staff and shooting team.
Eric Ashton is a part-time Level 2 instructor and a full-time student majoring in audio engineering at Skyline Community College. Eric enjoys informing others about the sport as well as creating bonds with new and returning archers.
Eric grew up in the family business, but started working regularly at Pacifica Archery in 2017. Since then, Eric has been commended on his instructional capabilities as well as his ability to interact with others.
